Change network interface used for Cloud Extension

From the connector Network page you choose which interfaces the Cloud Extension uses, without touching the card facing the Internet.

The Cloud Extension can use more than one network card, and you decide which. The page is called Network and sits in the connector menu, SISTEMA section.

The two cards on the page

At the top you find Internet Interface (eth0), the card the connector uses to reach Sefthy. Here you pick the Address Type between DHCP and Static IP. Leave it alone while you work on the Cloud Extension.

Below it sits Cloud Extension Interface, and that is the one you want.

Changing the interfaces

  1. Open Network from the connector menu.
  2. In the Cloud Extension Interface card, under Available Interfaces, tick the cards you want to use and untick the ones you do not need. You can keep more than one.
  3. Check Current Configuration just below, which lists the interfaces already in use with their Up or Down status.
  4. Click Apply Configuration.

The message “Please wait, applying configuration…” appears while the connector rewrites its own network. The page may stop responding for a few seconds, then it comes back on its own.

If you try to save with nothing ticked, the connector refuses and tells you that you must select at least one network interface.
